I was reading this book at the weekend (nothing to do with cycling) and it was saying (this was an American book by the way) that the Amish (a religious sect in America), must not use ‘tyres’ in the rules of their religion.. therefore, they do not use bicycles.
It is a funny old world but each to to their own.

H G Wells – The Wheels of Chance. It was written ages ago but some of it is quite funny. H G Well is quite witty. I’m reading it because ‘it relates to bike riding in Southern England’ which is where I’m from. I will keep you posted!
